Cad drawings
Send us your ceiling dimensions, a room sketch or an architect’s plan, and we will prepare a CAD drawing of your carved foam ceiling system. The drawing shows the layout of the carved panels, the size of each panel, the pattern and where it repeats, joint positions, and cut-outs for lights, vents and beams. If you are planning ceiling design ideas for a cathedral ceiling or a flat ceiling, we can draw the pattern on both so you see the result before anything is made. You approve the drawing and the finish before production, so the panels are produced to the sizes you confirmed.
Application
Carved foam ceiling systems bring a sculpted, detailed ceiling to a room without the weight of plaster or stone. They are used in many places:
- Living rooms, dining rooms, entries and primary bedrooms where the ceiling should be the focal point.
- Hotel lobbies, restaurants, theaters, banquet halls and lounges.
- Rooms with a cathedral ceiling or a high ceiling, where a carved pattern fills the large surface.
- Churches, clubhouses and showrooms that want a decorative ceiling in architectural foam products.
Because the panels are lightweight and foam based, they are easier to lift to a ceiling than carved wood or plaster, and they do not rot or attract insects.
Installation and documents
Carved foam ceiling panels are light enough for one or two installers and can be cut with ordinary carpentry tools. Installation typically goes in four steps:
- Mark the centre of the room and the panel grid on the ceiling from your layout drawing.
- Fix the panels to ceiling joists or a flat, sound surface with construction adhesive and screws or finish nails.
- Fit the panels in the order shown on the drawing, so the carved pattern lines up across the seams.
- Fill the seams and fastener holes, then paint or glaze the ceiling to the finish you chose.
With every order we supply the CAD layout, a panel schedule and an installation guide with finishing notes. We can also check photos of the surface before you start.
Customization
Every carved foam ceiling is made to order, so the pattern follows your room and not the other way round. You can choose:
- Carved pattern from our catalogue, or a custom motif for a specific space.
- Panel size and the number of panels across and along the ceiling.
- Finish: painted white, a single colour, or glazed and highlighted to bring out the carved detail.
- Combination with architectural foam molding, medallions or beams for a complete ceiling design.
Tell us the room size and the style you want, and we will suggest a layout.
Payment
The price of your carved foam ceiling depends on the pattern, panel size, ceiling area, finish and quantity. We accept PayPal, Visa and Mastercard. The payment schedule is written in your quote, and production begins after the CAD drawing is approved and the order is confirmed. Freight is quoted with the order and depends on the delivery address and the number of panels. Larger ceilings and commercial projects, such as hotels, restaurants and theaters, are priced individually, so send us the square footage for a quotation.
Exchange and return
Carved foam ceiling systems are made to order from your approved drawing, so they cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. Please inspect the shipment on delivery, note any damage on the carrier’s paperwork and photograph it before unpacking. If a panel arrives damaged or does not match the approved drawing, contact us right away with photos and the order number, and we will repair or remake it. Check the first few panels against the layout before installing the whole ceiling.
