Our Barn Wood Faux Wood Beams is a style often used to describe beams that mimic the look of reclaimed barn wood. The beams are designed to replicate the natural wear and aging of wood that has been exposed to the elements over time, such as in barns or other outdoor structures.

John Smith — Custom Carpenter, Phoenix, AZ
Installed five 24-foot box beams across a vaulted living room ceiling. Two guys hung the whole system in a day using 2×4 wood blocking.
Sarah Wilson — Interior Designer, Los Angeles, CA
The rough-sawn grain texture and hand-hewn distressing are indistinguishable from reclaimed barn timbers from ten feet away.
Robert Brown — Remodeling Contractor, Las Vegas, NV
Hollow box design allowed us to run wiring for low-voltage ceiling spotlights and hide an ugly structural steel flitch plate.
David Miller — High-Rise Developer, Cloudcroft, NM
Zero twisting, warping, or ceiling sheetrock stress cracks like you get with heavy green timber beams over time.
Michael Johnson — Finish Carpenter, Flagstaff, AZ
The pre-stained dark espresso finish was uniform across all lengths without the blotchiness common in natural pine.
James Davis — General Contractor, Sedona, AZ
Shipped in heavy-duty protective cardboard tubes with reinforced ends. Every single beam arrived perfectly straight and dent-free.

Preguntas frecuentes
- What is a faux wood beam?
A faux wood beam is a lightweight beam that reproduces the look of timber. Ours are made of foam with a polyurea hard coat and a wood-grain finish.
- Are faux wood beams structural?
No. They are decorative and wrap or cover framing. Structure remains as designed by your engineer.
- What is a box beam?
A box beam is a hollow beam made of three or four sides that wraps a structural beam or joist.
- Can faux beams be stained?
Yes. They can be stained or painted to match real wood, and white and dark finishes are available.
- Can beams be used on a vaulted ceiling?
Yes. We can make straight or arched beams for vaulted ceilings.
- Can you use them outdoors?
Yes. The hard coat resists moisture and UV, so they suit porches and covered patios.
- How are the beams installed?
They are fixed to the ceiling with blocking and adhesive or fasteners. Guidance is included.
- What do you need to quote beams?
Ceiling dimensions, number of beams, profile, finish and photos.
